We travelled with a small group to the United States to photograph the total solar eclipse on the 8th of April in 2024. During totality you could clearly see solar prominences on the edge of the moon. One was extremely bright and could easily be seen with the naked eye.

The image was taken with a Canon EOS R6, a Canon 2x extender, and an EF 300/4L lens.
